Concrete restoration is the process of returning an existing polished, sealed, or coated floor to its correct condition — or improving on the original. The scope depends on the current state of the floor: some restorations require re-grinding from scratch, others require targeted repair followed by re-polishing.

Restoration is almost always more cost-effective than tearing out and replacing a slab. In many cases the restored floor performs better than the original because the underlying problems are actually corrected rather than covered up.

Common restoration scenarios include floors that were polished by others and never achieved the right finish, floors damaged by chemical spills or heavy equipment, floors where a previous coating has failed and needs to be removed, and floors that have lost their sheen through years of use and improper maintenance.
