Timm Sowders
A Different Kind of Concrete Contractor
Timm Sowders has been in the flooring industry since 1984. He started polishing concrete in 2004 — not because it was a trend, but because he saw what the process could produce and wanted to do it correctly.
Most concrete polishing contractors come from the concrete pouring side of the industry. Timm came from the flooring side. That distinction matters. The flooring background means the focus is on the finished surface — how it performs, how it holds up, and how it looks years from now — not just on getting the slab placed and moving on.
2 Palms does not pour concrete, install epoxy, or apply decorative overlays. The work is polished concrete, slab correction, surface prep, and restoration. That singular focus is what makes the difference on high-stakes projects where the floor has to match the quality of everything around it.
The company is rebranding in 2026 to reflect what the work has always been: engineered surfaces for serious collections. Car collectors, aircraft hangar owners, and anyone who wants a floor that performs at the same level as the rest of their investment.

Notable Work
First Porsche Design Studio in the U.S.
When Porsche selected a location in Portland, Oregon for the first Porsche Design Studio in the United States, the floor had to meet the same standard as the brand. 2 Palms was chosen for the project.
The existing slab was ground, corrected, and polished to a glass finish that performs under showroom conditions and daily foot traffic. The work has held up exactly as specified.
Other notable projects include private aircraft hangars, award-winning Street of Dreams homes, and collector garages housing everything from vintage Duesenbergs to modern European sports cars.
